Steel wire shelving is incredibly versatile, since clip system allows racks to be placed at any height of vertical support bars. Each vertical support bar has a series of slots allowing plastic clips firmly grip and hold shelves in place.
How to connecting clips steel wire shelving? Place bottom shelf where you want it. Inserting support rods through holes in platform. Bottom shelf should be placed as low as possible. Lift shelf up to two inches above level where you want to sit. Install ends of plastic clips to support rod with widest part at bottom and narrower at top part. Place clip in slot on support bar.
Count number of slots at bottom for first clip. Lift other corners of shelf and put clips in same number of slots on bottom as first clip. Once installed all clips on lower shelf clips and pound firmly in place with rubber mallet. Do not use a hammer or hard object hitting directly on shelves.
Inspect platform level to ensure that clips where installed at correct height. If steel wire shelving is not level, you can remove a clip hitting bottom rack with deck. Then put clip into correct slot of support rod. Install clips to next shelf by counting number of slots in each rod and matching all four support clips. Use level to check standing at top of clips. Raise next shelf on top of support rods and slide down into clips. Libra firmly in place with mallet. Repeat for all shelves.
