Outdoor motion sensor light – Motion sensors automatically control the lights outdoors. Depending on the type and sensitivity of the motion sensor, even a small animal the light switch is activated. Installing a motion sensor to an existing lamp will take about an hour of time, if you have the right parts and some hand tools. Disconnect power lamp outdoors to be wired to the motion sensor. This may involve turning off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse that powers the electric circuit.
Outdoor motion sensor light, unscrew and remove the lamp bulb. Remove the glass lens or lamp housings. Pull the unit from the electrical box. Use pliers to loosen the nuts any device or screwdriver to loosen the mounting screws. Note the electrical connections inside the lamp housing assembly.
Outdoor motion sensor light, loosen and remove the plastic wire nuts for cable connections. Note the black insulated wire is the power supply and the white insulated wire is the neutral wire of the electrical system. The bare copper wire that is connected to the light fixture itself is the ground wire electrical systems. Observe the electrical cables in the motion sensor. Typically, three cables are connected to a motion sensor.
